Hello future skippers and crew!
I am relatively new to sailing but I am now able to fulfil a lifelong dream of learning skills for boat handling and sailing in particular.
I have lived an interesting and varied life with a long period of living and working in Japan. I have a wide range of skills including trade skills (horticulture, carpentry and basic motor maintenance), professional training provision, business operator, computer skills, writing and public speaking. I am an accomplished photographer.
I am a home owner with no debts and no family commitments. I am free to travel at short notice.
I love the ocean and outdoor adventures in general. I have recently completed a one month trip from Melbourne to Fremantle as a crew member on a 50 ft catamaran and another trip from Adelaide to Sydney on a 43 ft monohull.

I am interested in a wide range of topics and hold a BSc in Earth Sciences. I am organised, motivated and generally open and fun seeking. I enjoy both living alone and sharing experiences with other like minded people. I think I am easy to get along with and love to share and listen to others stories.

I have a dream to buy an ocean going cruising yacht and sail the world, either solo or with a crew of compatible people. I aim to fulfil this dream in the next three years. To this end I want to gain extensive experience with long passage sailing and coastal cruising. I am not particularly interested in racing sailboats.
Ideally I would like to crew with a skipper who has many years of global sailing experience. I am happy to participate in all aspects of live aboard life. That includes general crew responsibilities, cleaning and cooking, and boat maintenance. I am a pretty fearless person so nothing much phases me.
I will not bail on my responsibilities at sea and will do anything necessary to protect the lives of my shipmates and guests.

I really believe I can be an asset on your boat and although I don't have a lot of experience I will learn fast and am happy to follow orders and direction.
