greetings from Frankfurt a.M./Germany.

I am an aeronautical engineer having worked for a major german airline in aircraft purchasing. My sailing experience started 50 years ago, thereafter chartering yachts as a skipper in the baltic sea and the med sea every second year (up to 50ft).

To gain more experience i crewed for 2 weeks on a 75ft schoner from Orkney Islands to Tromsö in 2022 total 1.050NM.
In October 2024 i co-skippered for 4 weeks a beautiful Swan 43 from Olbia/Sardinia to Ancona/Italy total 1.092 NM

My five girls like sailing - limited for a week. This is the only reason i abandoned my boat purchasing project.

Although sailing since decades i know that there is always something you don't know. Being a hot air balloon pilot since 30 years with more than 1.000 hours flight time i am aware that not only decent planning but once in a while luck supported my accident free flying. Sharing experiences is exciting.
