Being a sailboat owner, I’m used to having crew onboard and knows what is on the wish list. As a crew, I’m organized and dedicated, a vigilant watch keeper and happily takes part in every other chore; from repairs to cleaning. With the typical Swedish efficiency, I work hard and am punctual. Cooking is not my main talent, but if needed I can make a half decent meal in almost every sea condition. I’ve seen enough guys that take on female crew with the main goal of having someone to cook and clean for them, and sharing a bed with them is more important than sharing night watches. So, to make this perfectly clear: If you’re that person, you can stop reading now.
With that said, I am fun company, social, not afraid to work hard and doing the dog watch, I have almost 50.000 miles under my keel. The last years, I’ve crewed on boats crossing both the Indian ocean and the South Atlantic ocean. And the best part: I’m never seasick!

When I quit my fancy job, sold the house and started sailing full time nine years ago, everyone called me crazy. When I bought an old classic sailboat AND a 109 year old Dutch river boat to live on while home in Sweden, they ran out of names for me. I'm still crazier than them, and a lot poorer, but hopefully richer in other terms. At least I'm rich in experience. And I plan to stay crazy and continue sailing :-)

Honestly? After a divorce, when you have to sell your own beloved boat, what's second best? Yes, sailing on other people's boats. It might even be better, since your credit card is not empty every time you go into a chandlery "just to have a look" :-)
