I am an STCW certified unlimited Master.
I have worked in the offshore industry for already 6 years, and been in the navy for 13 years before that.
While I was in the navy, among other things, I went two Antarctica twice. I was the navigator of the Icebraker "Almirante Irizar" for two summer campaigns. Though this was a long ago, it left an everlasting impression in me, and a strong urge to go back again, one day.
I have enough sailboat experience to skipper boats for delivery and I am trying to find out my first experiences in this job.
I am looking for jobs, but I am looking for fun rides also.
If you need someone to move your boat, I can do it.
But you can meet me looking for a ride just for fun.
Unpaid, shared expenses is my best bet. Not a client, but not an employee either. I wish to feel part of a good crew that has a communion of interests.
My last cruise was going round Cape Horn. All the way from Mar del Plata in Argentina to Valparaíso, Chile.
On the more personal matters, I am person who is always eager to learn. I love travelling but I try to feel as little a tourist as I can. I try to know the people of the places and find out how they really live their countries, instead of doing the day tours. I love history and enjoy reading and duging deep into the background of societies that I visit before going over. Finding a good travel companion with whom I can share points of views has a great deal to do with how I enjoy the trip.
