Hello, Chris here, an early retiree from a twenty-seven year career in the forest products industry. My wife works for the U.S. State Department, and as such, we are often posted in locations all over the world. Currently we are residing in Wellington, New Zealand, and I am interested in opportunities in the region.

I have always held a sense of outdoor adventure and am quite fit and active. I have an easy-going personality, am interested in learning new things, and am adaptable to most any situation.
Most of my adult life has been spent in the Pacific Northwest, a region which is extremely rich in outdoor opportunities. Summers were filled with both road and mountain biking, camping, backpacking, and a favorite of mine, whitewater rafting. And I continue to enjoy skiing and snowboarding in the winter months. While my wife has a full time job, I have elected to retire early so that I can more deeply explore the new countries and cultures we encounter as we travel the world.

Even though I have resided in a land-locked state for many years, I still have had the opportunity to both skipper and crew numerous bareboat charters in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and in Tahiti. I have sailed both monohulls and catamarans, up to 65' in length. In addition, my wife and I raced GP14 dinghies in Sri Lanka and crewed on a Hick 31 for races in Sydney Harbour. I have always enjoyed both the technical aspects as well the beauty and solitude associated with sailing vessels, and now that I have the time, am eager to take part in a more extended sailing experience. I've crewed for a boat deliveries in the Caribbean, New Zealand, Tonga, Fiji & Australia and I loved the experiences; looking for more!
