If I had to describe myself I would say passion for sailing and living aboard are the best words to be found for this. I am a highly reliable, humorous and sporty person, who puts safety first. I haven`t been seasick until now and I don't use drugs or smoke (and seldom drink more than one beer and only when in the harbours). I like to meet people from different countries and love to be outdoors and experience the beauty of nature in all the different varieties. I am especially attracted by the northern (or far southern) countries and the remoteness of these fascinating landscapes! Outside western Europe, I already sailed in Alaska (Kodiak to Cold Bay), Greenland (Westcoast up to Thule), Canada (Vancouver Island), Norway (Lofoten 4 times) and just came back from a circumnavigation around Svalbard (Norway; 3 weeks).

I am a customer orientated, very responsible person and have been sailing since I was a child. I spent 7 years of racing on a Yngling and since 2000 I have been racing on sailing vessels between 32 and 60 ft, most of the races taking place in England, the Netherlands, Germany and the Mediterranean.
Beside this I have spent most of my vacations on sailing vessels in the Baltic Sea, North Sea (including Norwegian Coast and Lofoten), Western Mediterranean Sea, the canaries and West coast of British Columbia (Canada)and also Biscay, Scotland, La Coruna-Lisbon and in the Azores. I also have been a skipper by myself in the Netherlands and Elba/Corsica.
I spent approximately nearly about 7.000 miles at sea.

I also love to travel "ashore" and visited for example Chile, Canada, US, New Zealand, Iceland, Norway (including Svalbard and Lofoten), India and the Philippines. Right now I am working as a coach and trainer.
