Introduction
Hello, I'm a liveaboard cruiser and have been since May 2010. I have over 80,000 miles at sea (coastal & offshore). Originally from upstate NY but now spend my time in the Bahamas and Caribbean. I have cruised from Maine to Central America, Bahamas and the VI. Companionship is my desire, that and one who is willing to cook. If your interest is learning I can provide that opportunity with hands on experience. If your interest is simple exposure to offshore sailing or experiencing the cruising lifestyle, that is also available. If you don’t mind cooking that is a plus, as I don’t enjoy cooking. I intend to continue the same pattern, the north in the summer & south in the winter, but with the right crew our direction could be unlimited.
My first and primary concern is to the safety of my crew and my vessel, my second is that we enjoy ourselves and my third is that we travel in areas that are reasonably warm.
I prefer a nice quiet anchorage to the excitement of urban life, but I do enjoy exploring and learning new things. Both historical and current. I would rather stay on board and watch a movie than visit the local bars ( once in a while is nice) and usually in the rack by 2200 or so, but I do enjoy happy hour.

The boat is a 1980, 40 cutter rig double ender, 12 ft beam, 6.6 ft draft, 30,000lb displacement. A true blue water boat.
I've made numorious modification to the opperational aspects of the vessel to make it more user friendly for a single hander and more comfortable on those cold or wet days. I still have a little more cosmetic work (Mostly done) to do below deck, but everything is fully functional.
