I am a French Vietnamese happy 47 year old non binary, married mother of 4 children, who has discovered sailing late in life. I wish to crew with my husband in South East asia in 2025 for discovery and experience during our sabbatical year.
We have discovered the wonders of the sea very late in life through snorkeling in south east Asia, scuba diving in France, in Egypt and in the Philippines, free diving and sailing in Brittany and Mediterranean sea. We are amazed by the marine life and beauty of the sea and wish to spend some time in 2025 on and under the water as part of a sabbatical slow travel trip with no exact plan and return date.
We hope to come back from Vietnam to France without taking the plane and are exploring the possibilities.

The dream and general plan is to slow travel by sustainable ways and come back from Vietnam to France without taking the plane. After Covid crisis and with the geopolitical state of the world since a few years, our initial plan to take the transiberian train or follow the silk road has become impossible, nor the possibility to travel by cargo boat. That is why we are exploring the possibilities of going by the sea on other types of vessel and have discovered this platform.
We had long planned a sabbatical year in 2025 for this project and have already visited South East Asia twelve years ago. At the time, we took a lot of planes and were travelling with our 4 children.
Now we are just the 2 of us, a happy married couple whose interests are the love to travel, physics and science, team work and building harmony, collective intelligence to resolve daily challenges and soothe human tensions, gaining experience in sailing and life on the water.

My main motivation to crew on a boat is to slow travel without taking the plane and living a new experience of more sustainable travel than what I did 12 years ago.
My goal is to come home (France) starting from Vietnam by taking only public transportation like buses, coaches, trains and because there are many countries that are not "crossable" anymore because of geopolitical reasons, we are wondering if there would be a way by crewing on boats.
As we have already 4 times one-week of experience on a sailing boat, maybe it would be a possibility that we wish to explore.
