💪What is our sailing level?
Pierre Benreguig and I are experienced crew members.
Pierre has already completed a major crossing under sail for a convoy from Auckland, New Zealand to Darwin, Australia, i.e. 6500 km in one go aboard a 15m sailboat. That's 22 days of sailing with 4 people on the boat. He also made a few short crossings of the Mediterranean (Empuriabrava to Marseille; Calvi to Toulon). He's already got a lot of offshore experience.
As for me, I've done several Glénans courses on a liveaboard (level 3) and I've also done Calvi -> Toulon, which gives me great theoretical and practical experience.
👫 Who are we?
We're two engineers who've been raising awareness of climate change for the past four years, as long-standing members of the Fresque du Climat association, and it's within this framework that we're going to Brazil.
But above all, we're a cheerful, smiling couple who're always up for a job (cooking, cleaning, sailing, etc.).
👨‍🏫 What will we be doing in Brazil?
COP30 will be held in Brazil in November 2025. It's been ten years since South America hosted a COP. So we're going there to develop our association's action in Brazil, and to represent it at the COP.

Pierre and I are both musicians, we LOVE to sing with other people !
We're both used to living in groups : we live in a shared eco-location with 15 people. :)

COP30 will be held in Brazil in November 2025. It's been 10 years since South America hosted a COP. So this is an opportunity to raise the topic of the climate issue on the continent. Ideally, we'd like to travel to Brazil in early 2025 to accelerate climate education in Brazil in the few months leading up to the COP, and to represent the association at the COP itself.
