Its time for us to take break from the 9-5 grind! My wife, Maud, and I have have planned a trip to visit her family in French Polynisia and we would like to extend our trip to spend some time sailing. I have had some extedned experience (300+ days) crewing in the carribean, but it has been a couple years and my soul yearns to get back out there. Maud has not yet been far off shore on on a sailboat, but she has been eager to experience the joy sailing for herself.

I am what they call "mechanically inclined" but I don't profess to be a master at anything. I am a fast learner and I have a wide range of experience and can be counted on to fix or solve most problems. I also cook! On the downside, I do tend to get seasick, but I am a good sport and it hasn't stopped me from working hard while queasy and making many crossings in heavy weather. I speak very basic French but Maud is a native French speaker.

My motivation and reasons to crew on a boat

For myself, it has been too long since I have been out on the ocean, and I am eager to sail again. And for my Maud, her motivation is to learn how to sail, and to expernce the life at sea for herself. Maud is not prone to sea sickness like myself.
