I'm CJ, a 23 year old frenchman, recently graduated racing yacht engineer and very keen sailor. I've been sailing all my life and will have crossed the Atlantic by the 20th of December. After cruising around Europe with my family for many years, I started racing inshore and offshore in both France, the US and the UK a few years ago as a foredeck, trimmer and helm.
As I recently graduated from the University of Southampton in the UK in June with a degree in Aerospace Engineering specialised in naval engineering, I decided to take some time to travel around the world until the right opportunity arises, so far I've sailed to the Azores, the Canaries and Cap Verde in the past months. I'm currently on an Outremer 45.
I've spent some time working in France during my studies, I was building offshore racing yachts such as Imoca 60s and an AC75, and getting involved with competition like the SailGP. I have a good experience with composite structures which could come handy on a sailing boat.
I am also a really keen windsurfer, wingfoil instructor and surfer. I've done four seasons in mainland France, Corsica and the US and I'm totally okay with teaching on board a boat if you have the necessary equipment.
That's about it with me, I also love reading, partying and meeting great people when I'm not in or on the water !
