Practical, Handy, fit, reliable, and down to earth, I’m all about simplicity and making the most of every day.
It’s very simple, after a great career in corporate design leadership, and 3 decades spent bringing up my amazing family, I’m now retired and actively exploring the world again…
I began life as a fabrication engineer and later a backpacker but switched to art and design in my 20’s. I now sketch and paint for pleasure wherever I travel. I’ve rebuilt 3 homes so I’m very good with basic carpentery, painting, plumbing and general maintenance jobs. I’m Paddy Certified and occasionally like to scuba dive. I’m in excellent shape and while I don’t have a ton of experience I learn quickly. Over the years I’ve sailed for pleasure on lake Michagan and the Med, mostly with my brother (He’s highly experienced and sails a 45ft monohull). I’d still say I’m a total novice.
I’m a decent cook and a great baker.
In a nutshell, I’m a creative, educated, sociable, practical, easy going, nomadically inclined guy with a sincere desire to learn and develop new skills. I will be in Australia backpacking Feb-March 2025, other wise fully available.
Hoping the above prompts some interest.
