Hello captains out there,
my name is Julia and I am looking for an opportunity to gain sailing experience in return for helping out on board. Every time I join a boat trip, I have the biggest smile on my face because I feel like I belong there. I may not have any sailing experience, but I am eager to learn. I am currently backpacking in Southeast Asia, looking for adventures and opportunities to learn new things.

To give you an impression of me, here is some info about me:
- I don't usually get seasick (I worked as a guide on a boat in the Azores for two months)
- I'm a lifeguard and first aider (let's hope we don't need that)
- I am a big fan of scuba diving (advanced open water diver)
- and surfing (beginner to intermediate, but really committed to improving)
- I'm a scout leader (so I know my way around some knots and being outdoors in uncomfortable conditions while keeping spirits up while dealing with noisy kids)
- I love to cook (veggie) and bake cakes :)
- At home I worked as a microbiologist but would love to expand my knowledge in marine biology (I am a research diver (EMP) and field instructor for coral propagation and coral nursery building)
- I'm used to living with other people and cleaning up my mess and other people's too
