**UPDATE** I am now sailing from Canary Islands to Cabo Verde (Mindelo) and should arrive around November 3rd. After that, I'll be looking for a crew to join to cross the Atlantic departing from Cabo Verde.

Hello, I am Enrico, 29 yo, from Italy.
I am taking a gap year and my plan is to sail from mainland Europe to Caribe/Central America, and then travelling there.
I have first sailed with an amazing crew which brought me from Barcelona to Lanzarote (Canary Islands); then, I found another crew to continue my trip and we are currently sailing from Canary Islands to Sal Island (Cabo Verde). From there, I will be island hopping and looking for a third crew/boat for the Atlantic crossing.

So, I am looking for a boat/crew to cross the Atlantic departing from anywhere in Cabo Verde (I will be in Cabo Verde around November 3rd).

I come originally from Torino (Italy) but have been living abroad for most of my adult life. I speak fluently Italian and English, and average Spanish and French. Currently, I am taking a gap year (or more?) to travel in Central/South America after getting a PhD in physics. And why not going there by crossing the Ocean ? :) I love any type of outdoor and activity in wild nature: starting from alpinism and wild camping in remote areas to more recently scuba diving and free diving. People usually describe me as a very easy-going person, and a good listener. I enjoy very much to hear stories from different people, and to share mine. I like to put myself in situations of discomfort, where I can learn something new about the world and about myself, growing in the process.

I am right now (end of October 2024) sailing from Gran Canaria to Cabo Verde.
I have sailed in the past days (15th - 25th October 2024) from Barcelona to Lanzarote and I enjoyed the experience very much. I do not get seasick (or, at least, it did not happened so far). I have experience with night watches. I also enjoy the hectic experience of cooking when the boat is moving :)
Also, some time ago I have been working on a sailboat-B&B in which my duties were cooking for guests-crew and do some boat maintenance while in the ports (cleaning the sails, painting, repairing the dingy..).
I am also very used to share my living space with many other people. I can offer my cooking skills and my adaptability, and I would be happy to help with any tasks that need to be done, and also very happy to learn something new, especially regarding sailing. I also am willing to share the costs of the trip.
