Hi there. My name is Marc and I am passionate about sailing and water sports, and I’m eager to keep sailing as much as I can!
I have an industrial designer background, and I have worked in this field for the past 12 years. Some months ago, I made a change in my professional life, and I am now working as a Dockhand at Marina Port Vell in Barcelona, mainly assisting with docking and undocking maneuvers both from the dock and from the water using the tender.
I have experience in dinghy sailing; I started as a child with Optimist and later with windsurfing, Laser, and Hobie Cat. I am currently part of a sailing club in Barcelona where I usually sail a J80.
I have the PER sailing license with qualification for the Balearic Islands, which is the Spanish version of the RYA Day Skipper, including night watches.
I hold the STCW certifications in Basic Safety Training, Medical First Aid, and Crowd Management for passenger ships, as well as the ENG1 medical certificate.
I am looking for opportunities to join the crew of a sailboat to cross the Atlantic, from the Canary Islands to the Caribbean, starting from November. I can contribute my skills while continuing to learn and practice this wonderful sport.
I am used to living with people of different nationalities and with various native languages, and I consider myself a calm and very easy-going person.
If you think I could be part of your crew, don’t hesitate to contact me. I’d be happy to meet you!
