Hi there! I am Noemie and my partner's name is Francis.

We are two french canadians currently on a sabbatical year, since in July 2024, and I’m on the lookout for new experiences and different lifestyles. We are outdoor enthusiasts wanting to explore new horizons, connect with people and cultures and explore the world differently. We are eager to connect with like-minded people and embark on adventures.

Our next adventure is to explore New Zealand as we will land in this dreamy country on the 24th of January 2025. We are flexible on the duration of our stay and we are looking to discover and maybe go elsewhere with some sails up !

Our sailing experience : Francis and I joined a 50ft monohull vessel during 6 weeks in fall 2024. We were an active crew on board, helping with the cooking, the maintenance, some boat projects while learning how to navigate. My partner Francis has also experience with sailing since he was sailing with his dad catamaran (Obie Cat) in a lake when he was young. He also has first aid in remote regions and he has been lifeguard.

I have a background in management (read here: project management, process optimization, productivity, marketing, etc.) and a passion for yoga, good food, cycling, running, reading, embroidery, writing, plant care and sewing.
Francis studied geography and worked in renewable energy and as a geography teacher. He enjoys brewing, kayaking, photography, diving, rafting, animals, basketball among other interests.

Together, we are learning acroyoga and spanish, we love cooking and cleaning, solving problems creatively, taking care of children, hiking big mountains and surrounding ourselves with good-energy people who see the positive side of life. We are avid readers, love learning, and enjoy playing outside or playing board games in our downtime. We’re both excited to dive into new experiences and share our diverse interests while discovering new places and cultures.
