I am Miguel, a Spanish certified Captain. Passionate about sailing and exploring the world from the sea. Currently based in Utila, Honduras. After a successful summer season in Mallorca, I am taking some days off chartering and obtaining my divemaster certificate, in order to provide a full experience to any future guests onboard.

I am currently looking for a Captain position, preferably on a sailing yacht or catamaran, for long charters and around the Caribbean Sea. Where I would like to explore what this beautiful area has to offer. But I’m completely open to any other regions or type of boats.

With multiple years of experience in the yachting industry, both in charter and private boats, I have a good understanding of its operation and how to handle multiple situations onboard. This experience also allowed me to develop good decision making and, boat and crew handling skills, as well as a friendly and entertaining manner with all guests onboard.

Having a good knowledge of mechanics and maintenance, a strong sailing background, and a mathematics degree I feel confident in my abilities to undertake any challenges onboard and solve any problems that may occur during the day-to-day sailing.

I am also very passionate about watersports, including windsurfing & kitesurfing, surfing, diving, snorkeling, jet-sky, and all water toys.
