Hi! I'm looking to join a crew to sail to Pitcairn Islands, one of the most remote places in the world. I spent 4 months in Norfolk Islands where I met people from there, and was fascinated about the history. I'm curious to discover how they live today, and reaching this place by the sea would be an incredible experience.
I studied art and spent the last year travelling around Australia and New Zealand. It opened my mind, I met inspiring people and lived lots of different experiences. I loved spending time in remotes self-sufficient communities having a simple life. I adapt easily and I'm not attached to my comfort.
I have some sailing experience, I've been part of two off shore passages; from Australia (Hobart) to New Zealand (Nelson), and from Fiji (Denarau) to New Zealand (Opua). I can provide references if necessary. I can handle seasickness, night watches, and I'm ready to help on any tasks on the boat.
I'm seeking boats leaving Panama around February to French Polynesia, passing through Pitcairn Islands. I'm also interested in joining a crew from France to Panama first, I'll be available from January then. I'm flexible and open to other projects. Also, let me know if you already sailed to Pitcairn and have any feedback.
Thank you,
Laurène
