Hello, my name is Sven, I'm 20 years old and I live near Haarlem in the Netherlands. I completed my studies in International Business & Entrepreneurship at EuroCollege in Amsterdam as of May 1, 2024. Immediately after graduating, I started working with the Dutch sailing company Portokali, where I serve as both a flotilla leader and a skipper for various yachts. I've previously undertaken this role in 2022 for four months and plan to continue until November 2024. Following that, I'll join a voyage from Athens to the Canary Islands, with the ultimate goal of circumnavigating the globe by sailboat. I am eager to learn, enthusiastic, humorous, young, refreshing, and ready to go with the flow.

I've obtained my RYA Coastal Skipper certification and aim to upgrade to Yachtmaster with a commercial endorsement this summer. I've also completed my BSC and RYA First Aid course. I'm a non-smoker but enjoy an occasional drink. No need to worry about me feeling homesick; being at sea feels like home to me.
