With fond memories of sailing the Swedish archipelago during my childhood, I have nurtured a genuine affection for the sea and a desire to reconnect with boat life. Although I'm not a seasoned sailor, my early experiences on the water have left me with a basic understanding and a yearning to learn more. Lately, I took a bareboot skipper course with IYT obtaining my ICC (International Certificate of Competency), which put me on the fast-track to properly sail a 40ft catamaran as well as a 50ft monohull.
I'm enthusiastic about applying my practical skills in new ways, especially in a sailing environment. I enjoy tackling repairs and figuring out how things work, which could be invaluable on a boat where adaptability and resourcefulness are key.
In terms of teamwork, I value collaboration and clear communication, essential qualities for any successful crew member. I'm committed to contributing positively to the team dynamic, ensuring a harmonious and efficient journey for everyone on board.
I have a simple love for cooking and enjoying good food and drinks, which I look forward to sharing with fellow crew members. There's something special about sharing a meal together after a day of sailing, and I'm excited to bring my culinary enthusiasm to the table.
Driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully and learn new, practical skills, particularly in sailing, I'm eager to embrace this new adventure. I see this opportunity as a way to grow, both in skill and in spirit, and I'm excited about the learning experiences that await me on the open sea.
