I am thrilled to present myself, Johannes, as a young and dynamic candidate to join your sailboat crew, bringing a mix of skills and a commitment to excellence. Let me provide you with a glimpse into the qualities that define my approach to sailing.

After gaining a lot of experience on the sailing vessels of SAILING-CLASSICS, a company operating with guests onboard of their three beautiful big sailing yachts, I am looking to work/ spend some time on smaller yachts.
On CHRONOS (54m) I worked as a Steward for 6 weeks and on KAIROS (38m) I worked as a Deckhand for 2 months. In the future I want to focus on the nautical department.
In January, I will have nearly 100 days of seatime in my seaman’s book.

I would describe myself as open minded, motivated, sporty and eager to develop my sailing skills further. Besides that I want to fulfil my dream of a sailing adventure and can be a help for every captain!

Firstly, I would describe myself as extremely open minded. I like the diverse cultures and backgrounds that come with sailing across international waters.

Besides, that I always embrace new challenges, viewing them as opportunities for personal growth. Whether it is adapting to changing weather conditions, navigating unfamiliar waters, or learning something new during our journey.
I approach each situation with an open heart and mind!

Another important character trait of mine is my positive attitude. Every morning I wake up with a smile on my face! Life at sea can be unpredictable, but I approach every situation with a positive outlook. I believe that this attitude is contagious and can uplift the spirits of the entire crew.

Furthermore, a healthy body has priority for me. I do not smoke and mainly eat organic food products. My lifestyle is extremely healthy and my sporty nature, coupled with a commitment to maintaining good health, ensures that I am physically prepared for the challenges of life at sea.

In addition, I am also highly motivated. In my opinion sailing not only requires physical endurance but also motivation and perseverance. My commitment to achieving set goals is relentless and I thrive on challenges that test my limits!
Of course I am able to follow orders without any hesitation and I will always respect the vessel sailing vessel I am standing on.

Besides that, I strive for perfection in my duties as a crewmember, but I also recognize the importance of balance. I am ready to celebrate victories!

In my free time, I love playing the cello, doing all kind of sports and having in-depth conversations with people!

- ICC Coastal and Inland waters (skipper license for yachts up to 20 metres)
- CWO 1 catamaran basis certificate - 2023 Netherlands
- CWO 1 for monohull basis certificate - 2022 Netherlands
- Saling experience in the Mediterranean- and North Sea.
- Participating in the Sailing-Classics Deckhand Academy

I am speaking multiple languages!
I have completed a course for practical first aid.
I am working in the service of an exquisite restaurant, so I am well aware how to handle and to serve upper class guests.
I am fully vaccinated.
