Let me introduce myself: I am Unda. That's what everyone has been calling me for many years. Claudia is listed in my profile as it is in my passport, unfortunately it is not possible otherwise when registering with findacrew.
I like to be at the wheel, I like to look at the sea and be silent. But I also love philosophical conversations about life and our being. I'm pretty clear and direct. Although I'm somewhat of an introvert, I enjoy dancing and meeting new people. I love doing things that make me feel really alive - like sailing, swimming, diving, ice bathing,... I'm definitely not a city person but need nature to breathe. And I need VitaminSea :-)
My previous sailing experience:
After a few trips on the Baltic Sea, I have traveled a little further in the last two years:
June 2023 -northern Atlantic, English Channel and Northern Sea (from the Azores to Cuxhaven)
July - September 2023 -Sailing and exploring the North-West-Passage from Dutch Harbour (Unalaska) to Iluissat (Greeland) on a 100 year old wooden sailing hering drifter
February - March 2024 - Sailing-expedition in the Southern Ocean / Antarctic, started in Ushuaia (Argentina) and finished more than 3000nm later in Port Stanlay (Falklands). We not only travelled on the west side of the Antarctic Peninsula as far south as Adelaide Island, but also spent two weeks on the east side of the Peninsula – in the Weddell Sea, where we sailed exceptionally far south around James Ross Island and Snow Hill Island. Followed footsteps of Shackleton and reached Point Wild on Elephant Island.
July-August 2024 - Northern Atlantic and English Channel (Horta/Azores to Calais), transfer of a ketch just two on board
