Recently taken early retirement, fit with a sense of adventure.
To celebrate retirement in 2022 I cycled from Lands End to John o'Groats, just over 1,000 miles/1600km over 2 weeks, which was a long-term ambition and ticked off a “bucket list” idea.
For 2023/24 our target was to learn to sail and get out on the water, with a view to getting a crew place for an Atlantic crossing towards the end of 2023, or early in 2024, and checking off another one of those bucket list ideas, unfortunately the boat we were going to cross with had technical problems, so we were unable to go - now looking for a boat for the Atlantic East to West autumn/winter 25

For 2023 my target was learn to sail and get out on the water - with a view fulfilling a long term ambition of getting a crew place, along with my wife, for an Atlantic crossing towards the end of 2023. Having found a captain and boat to sail with, unfortunately the boat had some technical problems and our crossing was cancelled at the last minute, after we had arrived in Grand Canaria - so we are now looking for a suitable captain and boat for autumn 2025.
