Dear Shipmates
Introduction
I began sailing six years ago with my local club in NYC on the Hudson River. After becoming a J24 skipper with the club, I wanted to continue developing my sailing experience and so I completed ASA 103 and 104, and most recently completed my RYA Yachtmaster Coastal in the Solent. I then volunteered around the Med (Turkey and Spain) and completed my first Atlantic crossing in December 2023. I'm now looking to continue building my skills and miles, while experiencing new places and meeting great people!
I’ve worked in NYC for the past six years as a project manager across different disciplines. I’m now taking a year off to focus on sailing and my aim for this year is to learn about sailing from as many different roles (and boats) as possible!

I've spent the past 6 years as a business professional working full time in NYC. I began my career in data analytics consulting, then moved to social impact to work for the City of New York in women's economic empowerment, and am currently working as a tech project manager. I'm extremely organized, detail oriented, and resourceful. I'm fairly handy as well (grew up in my dad's woodshop), can't promise I can fix everything, but I can certainly try! I also have a sales background and am comfortable giving presentations / speaking to groups (so I'm interested in charter positions that would allow me to interact with guests / lead tours).

After six years working in the City, I'm looking for a break and a change of career. I've found so much joy in becoming a skipper and teaching others to sail that I'm considering making a full-time career change and am looking to spend six months to a year pursuing a variety of sailing opportunities to ultimately decide if sailing should be a part of the next chapter of my career.
