Hello! In the mid-80's the US Peace Corps assigned me to an education position in Neiafu, Vava'u, Tonga. Two minutes walk from that big beautiful harbor full of yachts. I sailed a lot in those years and lived aboard for a couple years after. I've made two passages - from Vava'u to American Samoa, and New Zealand to Tonga, both on monohulls 30' or smaller. It's been a while but I've been involved in many boat maintenance tasks, charted and kept a course, kept watch and scrubbed the hull. With muscle memory and a refresher course I will once again be a competent and enthusiastic crew member.

I love the ocean! I am an active person and am ready to pitch in to do what needs to be done. I like to swim, paddle, snorkel, hike, read, ride my bike, garden, explore, and play backgammon. I'd say "I do yoga" but that's not really true though it does reflect the flavor of body-aware mindfulness I continue to cultivate.
I look forward to making new friends and growing mutually nourishing companionships.
My restricted diet is about gluten (wheat, etc.). I'm good at taking care of myself with that around folks who do eat wheat, and there's a world of other foods to enjoy together. I am not vegetarian.
