My name is Marek, a 35 years old sailing/motor yacht Captain from Poland. I'm interested in finding a position as a Captain, Charter Skipper, 1st Mate, 1st Officer, Navigator or Delivery Crew.
I am a certified Yacht and Motorboat Skipper who is looking to build more experience in the sailing world.
I've been sailing since I was 14 but gained most of my sea experience:
2018 Crew, Plymouth, UK to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria on a 37 feet sloop,
2019 Crew, Porticello, Sicily to La Linea de la Concepcion, Gibraltar on a 39 feet ketch,
2021 1st Mate, Cartagena, Spain to Ibiza, Spain and back on a 82 feet sloop,
2021/2022 1st Mate, Mallorca, Spain to Guadalupe, Caribbean on a 54 feet catamaran,
2022 1st Mate, Guadalupe-St.Maarten-St.Barth-Martinique doing yacht deliveries,
2022 1st Mate, Martinique to Panama on a 40 feet sloop,
2022 1st Mate, Vilamoura, Portugal to Combarro, Spain on a 72 feet ketch, there season around Galicia, Vigo, Baiona, Sanxenxo, Santradan, Aldan, then back to Vilamoura,
2022 1st Mate, Combarro to Cascais on a 57 feet sloop.
2023 Captain, 6 month season in Greece, Athens, Mykonos, Santorini and more Cycladic islands on a 51 feet sloop
2024 Captain, another 6 moths season in Greece on the same boat
Total over 15 500+ nautical miles.

As a captain my duty was to take care of boat, train guests to act as my deckhands, plan route, weather analysys, customer menagment, organising activities. As a crew my duties were to take day/night watches, (I have experienced many night crossings, port navigation and entry), set, reef and trim sails, radar and radio operating, navigation, assist engineer and carpenter, fibreglass repairs, steering, operate moorings, cleaning. I've been climbing masts, diving under the hulls and into engine chambers. I am not afraid of bad weather but I know it is more important to plan and avoid it.
I am available for delivery, even long ones like Atlantic crossing.

My previous job was inter-media technician in a theatre in Warsaw. I did light, sound and video there. My other interests are: music, I play drums and piano, analog and digital photography (strong edit skills - Lightroom), videography (camera operator and basic edit - Premiere Pro). I also did visuals (VJ) and I am a rollerblader.
Now I want to try work and live closer to the water:)
