Introduction

Ahoy, Captain!

I would like to express my interest and passion for sailing by joining your boat as a crew member ready to follow your command. Coming from a country without access to the sea, I had my first opportunity to sail in 2022, and I immediately fell in love with it, knowing I wanted more. I spent a week in Croatia sailing from one island to another on a Lagoon 400 catamaran.

After that experience, I decided to become a skipper and made it my dream. While traveling in Southeast Asia in the summer of 2024, I was fortunate to find a volunteering opportunity to help with a refit on a catamaran in Langkawi, Malaysia. I learned some theory and became even more eager to sail.

As there is a large community of yacht owners, I met many kind and welcoming people from all around the world, including a master level 3 sailor from Australia who needed crew to help bring his boat to another marina. It took us 80 hours of nonstop sailing to deliver his beautifully renewed 46-foot monohull from 1976 to the marina in Johor Bahru.

Currently located in Pangkor Marina, Malaysia I have been helping with a refit on a Catana 471 before my first ocean sailing trip thanks to findacrew platform. We start in the end of December hoping to arrive to Turkey beginning of March.
