I love the sea, enjoy northern and southern europe, have travelled a lot, from Svalbard in the north to New Zealand in the far south. My interest in nature brought me to study biology, and I am working as a professor and researcher of plant sciences. However, I also have a strong interest in marine biology, and love diving in warm or cold water. I have some experience as a skipper, and enjoyed participating at regatta racing with a sailing yacht. I am moderately entertaining (so they say), I like swimming, hiking, diving, bicycles and motorcycles, and can prepare meals. Also enjoy photography and video drone piloting.

I am looking for a shorter (one week) or longer (up to 2 months) sailing tour, and would enjoy to explore the mediterranean or the northern oceans (Atlantic, North Sea, Baltic Sea). In 2022, I spent 6 weeks sailing around Svalbard, and would also enjoy going back there again. Iceland and greenland are high on my must-see list, but also Canary Islands, Cap Verde islands or other areas with interesting marine life.

Crewing on a boat is an opportunity for me to improve my sailing skills, enjoy a gentle sustainable way of travelling and exploring nature and marine environments, and see remote places. I also enjoy working in a team, I love the sea and I am fascinated by our oceans. (I guess I also read too many novels of adventures on oceans as a youngster!)
