Introduction
Currently looking for the opportunities in Australia (spontaneous decision on a last minute), any tips would be very much appreciated! I am still flexible with the exact locations
Time period available: Approx. 16th December 2024 - 08th January 2025
I have RYA Coastal skipper practical certificate (as well as RYA Competent crew and Day Skipper theory certificate). I just fell in love with the life on board. I love exploring, meeting new people, generally I have a curious, positive and open minded personality. I am hard working and reliable, interested in sustainability and good causes.
Experience (around 1,3k nm):
- November 2024: RYA Coastal skipper practical training (Canary Islands)
- May 2024: Crew - sailing in Greece and Turkey
- December - January 2024: Crew in Carribbean sailing - BVI, USVI, Puerto Rico
- April - August 2023: First mate in the various chartering events (private or for companies) in UK (Solent), incl. Round the island race and Cowes racing week (incl. preparation & fixing of the boat, interacting with the chartering clients etc.)
- January - February 2023: Sailboat race Grenada Sailing Week, then cruising to the other Caribbean islands (4,5 weeks in total, half was double handed)
- July - August 2022: Sailing in Greece and Turkey
