I have been living, cruising and working on boats for 4 consecutive years. Most of my work has been on charter catamarans, 42-77’, as chef/first mate. Most recently, I have been working on a private 80’ monohull ketch with liveaboard owners, as an all-a rounder.
Outside of charter work, I lived for 2.5 years on a 32’ monohull (Westsail), which I bought in North Carolina with a former partner and sailed over 5000 nm throughout the Caribbean. I’m very capable with docking, anchoring and mooring, sail adjustments, watch-taking, cooking for crew/owners/guests, cleaning and basic maintenance. I also have many years of service and hospitality work, as well as outdoor recreation/guiding experience. I’m seeking primarily paid opportunities, but will also consider expenses-paid opportunities with a crew and vessel that are a good fit.

I grew up in Delaware on the coastal peninsula and lived in North Carolin for about a decade for college and beyond. I have a degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management with a minor in Outdoor Leadership. I've worked for several years in the outdoor industry as a charter chef/first mate, camp counselor, guide, logistics supervisor, and communications coordinator.

I love both the magic and challenge that comes from living on boats. Since a young age, I've loved being on and under the water; living and working on boats brings me great peace and joy, even when the circumstances are demanding. I enjoy observing and participating in dynamic group situations and finding ways to work with each other's strengths. I am primarily interested in paid opportunities on sailing vessels or motorboats under 100ft as a chef/cook, mate/deckhand, or nanny.
