At the moment, I am already fully booked for the 2025 season and will be available after December 25, 2025. However, if you have an interesting opportunity before that date, I will make an effort to adjust my schedule accordingly.
If you're looking for a bright and conscientious person with a genuine curiosity for almost everything, you’ve found the right one. I enjoy spending cozy, warm evenings in good company just as much as I love experiencing the raw, rugged beauty of nature. I relish lively discussions as much as quiet moments spent reading; I’m equally drawn to mentally and physically demanding work as to relaxing, sunny days at the beach or in the snow. And every now and then, I enjoy a beer and sharing laughter during fun evenings with friends. In short, I’d describe myself as an uncomplicated and balanced person.
I work as a transportation planner and study philosophy in Zurich, Switzerland. Beyond my professional and academic pursuits, I am always on the lookout for new and unique experiences. In 2017, I discovered my passion for wind and water when I began sailing on Lake Zurich. Since then, I’ve obtained the Swiss sailing and motorboating licenses for inland waters as well as the Swiss offshore sailing license. Over the past few years, I have completed skipper training, covering port maneuvers, sailing maneuvers, onboard safety, crew management, passage planning, and more. I’ve also attended courses on sea safety, maritime machinery, and onboard equipment. During holidays, I’ve gained valuable coastal and offshore sailing experience.
In the summer of 2024, I embarked on several extensive sailing adventures:
– Three weeks in the English Channel (Belgium – English South Coast – Channel Islands – Normandy – Brittany)
– Two weeks of longer passages, including overnight passages in the Bay of Biscay
– A passage from Norway to Scotland
– Two weeks of sailing in the Tuscan Archipelago
In the near future, I plan to pursue my RYA Yachtmaster Offshore certification.
Having lived in shared flats for over eight years and experienced life on a sailboat, I’m well-versed in communal living. I enjoy cooking and don’t shy away from household chores.
As for hobbies, I have a range of interests including playing music, swimming, sailing (of course), biking, and philosophy.
