Hi there fellow sailors!

I’m Wiebke ( /ve:bkæ/ ), 34 years old, from Berlin, Germany and I love sailing (and will buy my own boat one day!). :)

I'm looking for an opportunity to cross the Atlantic east-west in Nov/Dec/Jan '23. I've already done the passage two times, westbound and eastbound.

A little bit about my experience:

I've been living and working on sailboats for the last three years non-stop.

Some of the boats I worked on as deckhand are an Amel 50, Solaris 58, Beneteau 62, Southern Wind 80...
I've been working for two seasons in the Med and sailed pretty much everywhere west of Italy.
And I sailed for five months in the Pacific, from Tahiti to Fiji via Bora Bora and Tonga.

I crossed the Atlantic as a crew of four in an Ovni 39 and as a crew of three on a Maxim 38.

So yeah, I know how to handle lines, take night and anchor watches, steer in heavy winds, drop anchor, I know when to reef and I can cook in choppy seas.

I just love sailing and the sailing community and if you happen to be somewhere near me and need a helping hand for a trip or some work on the boat hit me up!

I did a sailing licence in Berlin in 2018 and have been living, working and sailing on boats in the Caribbean for a year now. Mainly on a beautiful Corbin 39.

Before I decided to leave Germany for an uncertain amount of time to go sailing I studied German and English Literature. All the time in lectures and different office jobs over the years made me realise that I‘d rather travel the world by boat and get better at sailing and work on boats than selling my soul and precious time to some company.
