As a Skipper, I am focussed on the health and wellbeing of the crew and the boat and I plan the passages conservatively. I learned meteorology so that I can plan passages safely. I believe in prevention and avoiding bad weather and planning enjoyable passages, where the crew are having a nice time and nothing to prove to the world. If on course = upwind, then I'd sail 10-15 degrees off course to enjoy the sail. I'm a typical leisure cruising skipper. I have encountered tough situations and in those I am calm and collaborative as to what the best tactic is and confident at making decisions. In my spare time I update myself on how to deal with stormy seas and other hazards.

I plan the passage according to weather and tides and if that means sailing at uncomfortable hours, then so be it. I'm the first to volunteer on the helm when everyone else wants to sleep as I enjoy the peace and quiet in the early hours or during the night. Then when I'm tired I need to sleep long hours. I need 6-7 hours of sleep minimum.

On a normal day I like getting up early, getting up-to-date weather forecast, and ensuring all crew are on the same page. Once under way, I enjoy singing and laughing and I carry my own karaoke mic with me. I like getting everyone singing and laughing I am good at creating a party atmosphere or a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere when we are tired.

As a crew member, I am committed to supporting skipper and crew with excellent quality work and fast acting on instructions. I enjoy learning, developing, and giving 100%.
I'm upbeat, dynamic, motivating and valuing crew members' unique combinations of skills and personal qualities. I enjoy working with people from different backgrounds and learning from everyone.

I also have office management and accounting skills, with vast experience of over 10 years and working with customers for 6 years.

I am sporty and energetic, practising sports, dancing and yoga for many years and maintaining healthy nutrition. I am a positive, motivating influence to most people who come across me and my high spirit and inner calmness make me a valuable asset in sailing conditions.

In my spare time I enjoy sailing :), video shooting and editing, swimming, playing tennis, dancing, singing and partying, visiting foreign lands, mixing with the local people, exhanging positive vibes, trying their food and learning about their life. I love people and I love being alive.
