Dear Shipmates
Introduction
Until recently, I worked in CTO/CIO/Security roles. I have now decided to take a work break and spend a few months sailing :)
I surf, train regularly, enjoy keeping fit and love being on the water. I am an advanced PADI diver, and last dived September 2024 in Vanuatu.
My last multi-day passage was 4 days from Fiji to Vanuatu in September 2024. Before that was Pittwater to Hervey Bay, ending with a final passage from Coffs Harbour and a night-time navigation of the Sandy Straits. Two of us on a 38' Bavaria. I have also sailed 10 days from Australia to New Zealand, 2 up.
I'm enjoying my RYA Yachtmaster Offshore journey and I am always keen to help on passages, meet new people, have some fun and learn as much as possible from seasoned skippers!
I have just completed the two day ‘AS/ISAF Offshore Safety and Sea Survival’ course with Flying Fish, Sydney (Middle Harbour Yacht Club) and I’m kicking myself for not having completed this sooner!
I'm fit, easy going, clean, tidy, hard working and well travelled. I play a basic level of acoustic guitar, love coffee, love seafood, read a lot and eat and drink anything.
I have driven across the USA a few times, the East coast of Australia and through Mexico, as well as motorbiked a bit in India and scuba dived all over the World.
Now it's sailing time :)
