I am a retired airplane and helicopter pilot experiencing life on my terms. Life is precious and short. I don’t want to regret not fully taking advantage of it. Physical fitness and personal heath are super important to me, I love the outdoors and run or bike daily. I am a perfectionist and when I do something I do it completely. I have always wanted to sail; it has become my passion.

I am open and flexible about my plans. I would like to learn and contribute as a worthwhile crew member. I am interested in sharing the load in a crew capacity. Destination is secondary to me; I am willing to travel anywhere. In the meantime, I plan to volunteer with the Special Olympics in Pensacola teaching children and young adults how to sail. In 2025, I sailed with my buddy from Hawaii to Oregon and did a sail in the Atlantic fro VA to SC. June 2023 I sailed, Annapolis to Bar Harbor. My mission in life has been to care for my family and particularly my wife of 40 years. My life and my mission were altered forever when she passed in 2019. I want to live my life fully and do what gives me joy. I want to master the skills of sailing and brave the unexpected. I am searching for the thrill of the unknown and the connection with myself and the sea away from the normal everyday hustle and bustle. I want to experience the excitement that each wave might bring. I would like to be challenged and explore something exciting and different. Simply being present with the moment while experiencing life at sea.
