Introduction
Hello sailors!
I am looking for opportunities to gain more experience on sailboats and also scuba diving. I have obtained my USCG 100 GT Near Coastal Masters license and am a PADI Rescue Diver. I would be highly interested in paid opportunities that would allow me to log more days on sailing vessels and log more dives! I am also a certified yoga teacher and would be happy to share that knowledge as well if it applies.
I have 9 months of cruising and delivery experience on sailing yachts (Tartan 37, Leopard 62, Leopard 45, Fontaine Pajot Venezia 42), 6 months of experience working as a deckhand on a 192' hydro-jet commercial high speed car and passenger ferry, 1 month on a Mangusta 100 motor yacht as a deckhand/stewardess, and 3 summer seasons as a captain on a 35-foot pontoon boat offering river tours. I have logged miles inland and in the Great Lakes, Caribbean, and Pacific Ocean, including a Pacific crossing January-February 2021. I am eager to gain more yachting experience, preferably professional experience on sailing vessels.
I would be interested in opportunities that have the potential to bring my partner along, who has worked with me as a deckhand, is an Open Water Diver, and is eager to gain more yachting experience.
At the moment, we are looking for an opportunity to join a vessel around Mexico at the end of October 2024 after a wedding we are attending down there. The wedding is in southwestern Mexico, but we could board at another location nearby if feasible!
