From the sailing and martime point of view :
I have been brought up on the french Channel seaside with a father Captain and chief pilot on the solent, spending all summers at the sailing school, on the seashore and scuba diving with my pals.
I currently sailed the solent , north britanny and the Channel Island, crossing to english south coast.
My father owned a 20 feet sailing girl with no confort, we sailed 10 years on that boat.
Used to manoeuver and sails change.
Couple of crossing and sailing around to Corsica and Sardinia in the Mediterranean on 40 ' feet sailing units
