Greetings new friends.
During the past eight seasons I have spent a total of 20+ months living and assisting on sailboats in Panama, Colombia, Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, Florida, Mexico to El Salvador in the Pacific, Sea of Cortez, and Eastern Caribbean. I have raised two (now adult) sons & left my teaching career and I take 3-6 months each year to crew and travel.
I own a 22' sailboat, which I sail in a lake in the summer in Northern California. I have many skills to offer between my experiences as a mother, teacher, property and sailboat owner, yoga and swimming instructor, seamstress, whole-foods cook for my friends and family, and host for my hostel guests. I am creative, resourceful, self-reliant, easy-going and on a mission to create mutually beneficial experiences. I have been a certified scuba diver since I was 13 and I am an avid swimmer. I am very interested in sea life and coral reef ecology and love sharing what I know and learn. I freelance to earn money when I can, with the bulk of my work being aquatic retreats/trainings and teach swimming late spring - early fall in California. I also give massage and offer aguahara (aquatic bodywork sessions) sometimes when I’m traveling.
I love living on the water! I am open to a variety of jobs or work-trade crew positions.

I am an excellent swimmer, healthy cook, know CPR/first aid/herbal remedies, and am great with all kinds of people. I also teach yoga & swimming lessons and offer massage and Aguahara (water therapy) enjoy playing music and singing. I am passionate about swimming, studying reef creatures, scuba diving, snorkeling and sailing! In the summer I run a small hostel at my property in California. I eat a pretty simple and healthy sugar-free & low-grain diet, but I am willing to cook things I'm not eating for my crew. I don't drink or smoke cigarettes. I am happy to buy my own food and I always show up with some provisions.

I love being a part of a something where we are working together towards a common goal. I love living simply and being with the water and the elements. I would love the opportunity to add to my sailing experience and to experience places I have never been before. I love swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, and going into small villages and getting to know locals and their customs. I am a good cook, homeschool teacher, yoga & swimming instructor, masseuse, deck hand, friend, and companion. I am currently giving priority to future sailing options that are paid or are just split cost of provisions, and/or have scuba diving opportunities. I am not necessarily seeking a partner, but I am open to finding love again. The love of my life died 8 years ago.
