Dear Shipmates

Introduction

Greetings, fellow sea enthusiast!

Hailing from the vibrant coastlines of Costa Rica, I'm on a quest to deepen my connection with the sea, meet like-minded sailors, and contribute my skills and energy to memorable sailing adventures. With a background in chemical engineering and hands-on sailing experience, I bring a unique blend of analytical thinking and practical prowess to the deck.

I've always believed that sailing is not just about navigating the waters; it's about embracing the spirit of exploration, understanding the nuances of the ocean, and fostering camaraderie among the crew. To this end, I've dedicated myself to not only improving my sailing skills but also immersing in activities that enrich my maritime capabilities, such as spearfishing, paddling, kayaking, and diving—a testament to my love for the ocean's depths and its surface.

As a certified diver, I'm keenly aware of the intricacies of the marine environment, making me an asset in underwater explorations and onboard safety. My enthusiasm for working on boats extends from maintenance to navigation, ensuring that I'm not just a passenger but a valuable crew member contributing to our journey's success.

I seek to join voyages that are not just about reaching a destination but are filled with learning, adventure, and the shared joy of discovery. Whether it's charting unknown waters, engaging in marine conservation efforts, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the sea, I'm eager to contribute my part.

In addition to my technical skills and sailing experience, I bring a spirit of collaboration, a keen desire to learn, and a commitment to making every sailing trip enjoyable and safe for everyone on board. I look forward to meeting inspiring individuals, learning from seasoned sailors, and becoming a better sailor myself—one passage at a time.

Let's set sail on a journey that promises not just to traverse oceans but to build friendships and create unforgettable memories along the way.

I find myself profoundly connected to the rhythm of the waves and the boundless horizon that sailing offers. Born and nurtured in the lush landscapes of Costa Rica, my spirit has always been drawn to the sea—a place where I find peace, adventure, and the freedom to explore the mysteries of the natural world.

Sailing is not just an activity for me; it's a journey of continuous learning and personal growth. It's where I've discovered my resilience, my capacity for teamwork, and my passion for the environment. My background as a chemical engineer has equipped me with a keen analytical mind, allowing me to tackle challenges with a systematic approach, be it navigating through stormy weather or solving technical issues on board.

Looking ahead, I've earmarked a milestone, from late December to early March 2025, I plan to dedicate myself entirely to the sea, seeking opportunities to join voyages that not only challenge me but also enhance my sailing skills. This 3-month period is not merely a sabbatical but a deliberate step towards fulfilling my dream of becoming a seasoned sailor. I'm eager to immerse myself in the life at sea, learn from experienced sailors, and contribute meaningfully to shared experiences on board.
