Dear Shipmates

Introduction

I'm a young doctor from Izmir/Turkey, living in London, looking for sailing oppurtunities around the world, particularly at the moment in Mediterrenean, the UK,Africa as well as Central and South America.I participated in local trophy organized by EAYK (Aegean Open Sea Yacht Club) in Cesme/Turkey for 5 years within a team.I have also competed in many other regattas on the shores of Turkey and Greece. I have done offshore and coastal leisure sailing in Turkey, Greece and Italy. I went on a backbacking trip to Latin America in 2015 during which I had chance to realize a long-time dream of me and have crossed the Atlantic from November 2015 to December 2015 from Gran Canaria - Spain to Barbados in the Caribbean with a stop over in Cape Verde making over 3000 miles across the ocean. Before that, I was in the sailing team of my university for several years. All these taught me know how to best adapt to the limited conditions on a boat and in the sea, to know my limitations, be always helpful and take safe steps in everything. With this, I have also improved my leadership skills by bringing people together, organizing the team, shopping lists, finances, and share of the duties etc on the boat.

As a person from Aegean Coast of Turkey,I was brought up with sea culture.I'm an energetic,laid-back,cheerful,tidy as well as a responsible person and very well-informed of the history, mythology, traditions of my part of the world.
I am good enough at cooking Turkish,Greek and Med-cuisine with lots of greens and olive oil as well as some well-known dishes from Asian and Mexican cuisines.
More detailedly for sailing,I have attended basic sailing courses for 4 months and participated in several sailing races along the Aegean coast of Turkey.I've taken part in boat transfers, sailing on Greek and Turkish coasts, also from Italy to Greece and finally crossing the Atlantic from Spain to Barbados totally making around 5800 miles in the sea.I am an open-minded personality that makes it easier to get along with people from different backgrounds.I am willing to take any duty and responsibility on the boat : Night watch, cooking, deckhand, sail trimming...
Moreover,as a doctor, I'm fully trained for first aid or any case of emergency as well as for basic medical interventions.

I like so much being in the sea and want to improve my sailing skills to become a more competent sailor.I also like the solidarity, common sense and togetherness within the sailing community and I am really impressed by this fact.
