I have sailed mainly in the South Pacific, mainly on deliveries. I like it and look forward for more.
I am happy to crew and can also take the skipping responsibility. I mostly accept positions without pay because I seek the voyage, the destination, or getting to know a type of yacht.
Currently I am very eager knowing better:
- aluminum centerboard (Garcia - very interested-, Ovni...)
- fast catamarans (Outremer -very interested-, Gunboat, HH).

I am neither a pet nor a tourist. I don't take risks onto yachts with financial constraints and failing maintenance. You contact me because you need help for your voyage.

Yachting experience: 8 000 nm with excellent reference letters from 38’ to 172’ yachts.
- Delivery crew on 42' BWCY sloop "China Girl" from Nouméa (New-Calédonia) to Newcastle (Australia); 1000 nm in 8 days (November 2023);
- Delivery crew on 74' Sunreef catamaran « Wildberry » from Port-Vila (Vanuatu) to Denarau (Fiji); 500 nm in 4 days (August 2019);
- Delivery crew on 49' custom catamaran « Outside Australia » from Apia (Samoa) to Suva (Fiji) via Wallis; 750 nm in two weeks (April 2015);
- Deckhand on 164' Perini Navi ketch « Enterprise »; based in Viareggio, Italy (January 2014);
- Daywork on various superyachts during the Antigua boat show (December 2013);
- Delivery crew on 76' Swan sloop « Silandra V » from Bali (Indonesia) to Singapore; 1 100 nm in 5 days (September 2013); captain Nick Leggatt (Playstation - around the globe record).
- Delivery crew on 47' Lagoon catamaran « Amuitz » from Noumea (New Caledonia) to Bali (Indonesia); 3 500 nm in 24 days (July - August 2013).
- Deckhand on 38' Admiral catamaran « Vision » in Tahiti and Moorea (French Polynesia) (June 2013).
- Dayworker on 172' Hoek sloop « Erica XII » in Tahiti (French Polynesia) (May - June 2013).
- Delivery crew on 53' Amel ketch « Elyse » from Noumea (New Caledonia) to Port Vila (Vanuatu); 300 nm in 3 days (May 2013).
- Deckhand on 120' Dubois sloop « Damahwil » from Whangarei (New Zealand) to Noumea (New Caledonia); 1 000 nm in 5 days (April 2013).
- Delivery crew on 48’ catamaran « Libreterre » from Fort Lauderdale (Florida, USA) to Saint Thomas (USVI); 1 100 nm in 5 days (October 2000).
- Dinghy sailed (Optimist to Hobby cat) as a teenager.
- 3 weeks onboard 45’ sloop « Le Boulard » in Greece and the Caribbeans.

Regatta experience 2023-2024, Nouméa (New-Caledonia):
- Mostly in the number one position;
- Learning the ropes: getting confidence, reactivity and precision is sail handling;
- Enjoying tight partnership with the number two or piano position ;
- No real interest in the ranking but rather in learning on an underdog yacht from an extremely experienced young captain.

Civil status : male, single (never married), no child, 47 years old, French, non-smoker.

Practical know-how that may become of use on a yacht ; former experience :
- Cooking with passion from the worldly Parisian five courses dinner to the casual traditional meal.
- Handyman : from building up electrical scooters (cf Tscoot on YouTube), to restoring antique furnitures bought on auction, to creating a steel dining table.
- Used to different cultures: I studied, lived, travelled or worked abroad most of my adult life. Americas (7 countries), Africa (4 countries), Europe (14 countries), Asia (7 countries), Ocenia (6 countries).

Other information about me without maritime connection :
- Highly educated : engineering degree (ENESAD, Dijon), master of science (University of Kentucky, Lexington), master of business administration (INSEAD, Singapore, Fontainebleau, Philadelphia).
- Business professional experience: founder of small firms (1x India, 1x Madagascar, 4x France, 1x Samoa, 1x New-Caledonia), managed up to 42 employees.
- Professional horse rider. Horse show jumping as a teenager for fun; race training rider to finance my studies; race jumping training rider to earn some money after my first firm went bust. This high level shows my ability to listen to a non-speaking partner, to feel what is going on, to give confidence and motivation to succeed.
- Hospitality experience. I have been proud of receiving for my B&B in Paris an excellence award from Tripadvisor.
- Sports. In teams: swimming, mountain biking. On my own: running.

Why do I want to be on a boat? The reason is simple: that is where I feel best.
I was five years old when I first sailed in the Grenadines. You may believe I was too young but that experience stayed forever in my mind. Every occasion to sail was again a great feeling of perfect symbiosis in a perfect world. For me, ecstasy is having the chance to sail under the stars, hearing the hull crossing the waves, all senses alert, peacefully following the rhumb line.
