I have experience sailing, navigating, anchoring, watches, "housekeeping" and general boat work skills. I Spent 3 months sailing from Annapolis, MD to BarHarbor, ME and back, on a cool 60 ft Sparkman Stevens wooden ketch with hank on jib and staysail. This taught me some maintenance skills like sanding, painting, varnishing and sewing sails. I’ve also sailed for a few months on a 30ft monohull in BC, Canada, around the Gulf Islands and Desolation Sound. I spent 3 months sailing from Trinidad to St Vincent, and 3 winter seasons on a 37ft Fontaine Pajot catamaran in the Sea of Cortez along the Baja Peninsula and mainland of western Mexico. Then we sailed from the Baja to Hawaii, around Hawaii, and from Hawaii to Victoria, BC.
I also helped build a fiberglass hard Bimini on that catamaran, so I have fiberglass and gel coat experience. NOW I AM PARTIAL TO CATAMARANS.
When I am sailing, I like to fly home for a couple of weeks at Christmas and in the summer, whenever it is convenient to leave the boat.
Other interests of mine are swimming, scuba diving, kayaking, water skiing, hiking, biking, rock climbing, skiing, flying, yoga and dancing. I don’t do smoking, drinking, drugs, drama or shopping (except for groceries). I am happy, healthy, energetic, active, adventurous, cheerful, positive, warm, friendly, a cooperative team player, good cook, and someone who would take great care of the crew, the boat, the passengers and their safety. I am willing to learn and to do whatever needs to be done!
