Dear Shipmates

Introduction

2014 was a great sailing year for me! It was my first time sailing in the Pacific and I had a super time!!
I left Australia in July, tutoring a 10 yeas old boy during term 3 of school. We sail from Brisbane to Vauatu, where we spend 2 and a 1/2 months around the north islands of Vanuatu; Espiritu Santo, Gaia, Vanua Lava and Reef islands, snorkeling, diving, beach comb, flying remote control planes and quadrocopters.

Later I joined another sailing yacht in Fiji. From Fiji we sail to Opua Marina, North Island of New Zealand. The trip took us 10 lovely days. We had one person very sea sick on board, so the captain and myself had the share everything between the two of us.

Back to Vanuatu, Port Vila, I was invited to help sail a great catamaran, 48foot, 5 stars luxury Fountaine-Pajot Salina called Kimberley Rose, to the beautiful New Caledonia!

From Nuomea, NC I joined another cat 42 Lagoon and sail to Bundaberg, Australia.
From 2015 to present, I joined The Royal Sydney Yacht Squadron (RSYS), located in Kirribilli, Sydney, racing with a J 42 sailing boat, named Euphoria. My job is at the front deck, where I am in charge of the head sails and of course the spinnakers. I love the launch the spinnaker and get that huge kite back on board again! It is an exciting job and I love it so much!

2016 I delivered a 50 foot catamaran from Nuomea to New Zealand, again destination Opua Marina.
A very fast catamaran, we reach around 16 knots speed! WOW, I loved it!! The trip took us only 6 days, from Isle de Pin. At isle the Pin we dive, snorkelling and enjoy the company of some local friends.

Started 2018 sailing from Sydney to Hobart, departing on 2nd Jan and arriving in Sandy Bay on the 14th of Jan. We did 646.39 NMi, surfing the coast of Tasmania.

2019 started in Hobart, when I was invited to be part of crew deliver Papilion, a 40 foot Arch bold racing boat.

2024 ready to explore the the pacific islands.

I love sailing, go to different places, meet people from different culture. I am a multimedia person, like film, photograph and write on-board diary. I also create adventure ebooks.

I just got back from another amazing coastal sailing trip around the East coast of Australia, from Mackay to Cairns. 18 days exploring all islands around the Barrier Reef, we navigate during the day doing around 35NMi per day and anchoring in amazing islands, starting on Gold Smith Island, Whitsundays, Hook Island, Airlie beach to pick up new crew, Cape Edgecombe, Cape Bowling green, passing Cape Cleveland June 13th 2018, to arrive in Townsville at lunchtime!

I love sport and climbing, so the entire crew went climb Castle Hill Mount.
Castle Hill is a heritage-listed isolated pink granite monolith in the suburb of Castle Hill, City of Townsville, Queensland, Australia. Its Indigenous name is Cootharinga, sometimes written as Cooderinga. It rises to a height of some 286 metres (938 ft) above sea level and dominates the city skyline.

Next stop was Magnetic island, A MUST PLACE TO SEE! Nature is fantastic there, great anchorages, and the Horseshoe Bay is an ideal secure anchorage.

Continuing North our next anchorage was Pioneer Island, and next day we set sail to our last stop Dunk Island. Dunk Island is Australia’s most spectacular and breathtaking tropical rainforest island. The Indigenous people called this place Coonanglebah,"the island of peace and plenty". One visit and we think you might just want to call it tropical paradise.

In 2016 Cyclone Yasi damaged the resort in Dunk Island, but camp facilities have been restored and if you are looking for a nice HOT WATER SHOWER, you must stop there!

June 18th 6:20am we lift the anchor up and set sail to Cairns in a 82.78 NMi wityh great winds, from 18 to 25 knots arriving in Cairns.

MacKay to Cairns we covered 412.61 NMi.
