Dear Shipmates

Introduction

I am a hardworking easy going kiwi fella and enjoyed undertaking the RYA Day Skipper course in Gibraltar. My partner and I enjoyed our Cal27 sailboat in and around the Bay of Islands NZ for five years and loved the 6 months living aboard, sailing the east coast of the North Island. It cemented my love of sailing so now looking to explore the world through wind power, making way in a challenging and environmentally friendly way.

I have a degree in Science and worked in conservation but mostly driven tour buses around New Zealand for the last 30 years. For the last year I have been training AI but it's time to get out and about!-)

I am willing and eager to get involved in all aspects of life on board. I am very reliable, responsible and trustworthy and with my hospitality and domestic skills I know will make a valuable asset to any vessel.

My name is Greg and I have grown up in and around the water. I am a qualified RYA Day Skipper, New Zealand Coastguard Day Skipper, Boat Master and also a PADI Divemaster. I also love music and enjoy playing the guitar.

I love to swim dive, fish and snorkel...anything in and around the water. I am looking forward to interesting people, cultures and beautiful destinations via exciting journeys through the freedom of sailing.

I'm looking to gain sailing experience and miles before undertaking the RYA Coastal and Ocean Skipper possibly to pursue the marine environment professionally or retire on my liveaboard around the beautiful NZ coastal waters.
