Hello out there,

My name is Helene and Im always open to an adventure at sea.

When I'm in need of money I work as a journalist or writing jobs online, but before I started that I have been working on ships. in 2012 I did my STCW certificate and from 2012 to 2014 I was a deck cadet on Torm oil tankers sailing anywhere from New York, Nigeria, Finland, Sudan and Cuba. In 2015 I took the coastal master certificate and in the years to follow I sailed as mate in a (very) small veteran ferry in Svendborg. I lost my interest in merchant sailing, but I still miss the sea. Though Ive been alot on ships, my experience and skills in sailing sailboats are close to none existing, but Im ready to learn.

When Im not travelling - currently in Latin America having my base in Cali, Colombia - I enjoy building and creating things. Back in Denmark I live in a community of tiny houses in a small town called Svendborg and there I build my own tinyhouse. Besides fumbling with my house and my garden I like to swim in the sea, kayak, snorkel, scuba dive, cook, dumpsterdive, upcycle, party, drink cocktails and a lot of other things. I think Im pretty easy going and low maintenance, I like to meet now people and discover new places :)
