My passion for the sea is reflected in my performance on the yachts. As a project manager for over 15 years in the land development arena, my skill set has translated nicely into being a Captain and project manager of the yacht and racing program. I am an excellent chef as well, with over 25 years of culinary experience (12 years fine-dining experience in front room staff, bar staff and management). Having been racing in several high-profile one-design classes (Farr 40, NYYC Swan 42, Swan 45, Melges 32, etc.), I maintain myself in the best of shape and weight. I am keen on team-building and carry myself with a cheerful and amicable mien.
As well, I am articulate and people-oriented, able to joke and laugh with the marinaros at the Acapulco Yacht Club and then hit the boardroom for meetings and presentations with high-level corporate officers.
I speak passible spanish and struggling french.
My background and education is in commercial banking and real estate.
Depending on the situation, I have many waterman skills. Surfing, foiling, diving, spearfishing and fishing are all part of my heritage of living in Hawaii. I grew up swimming competitively for 11 years, along with being a lifeguard and trained CPR-type. I have continued to swim competitively on and off my whole life and have a current heartsaver's card with CPR and AED from The American Heart Association, as well as The American Red Cross.
