A little about myself, my interests and my plans
I love sailing and would like to do more and more of it - working up to retiring in a cruising lifestyle, enjoying the freedom and sharing the fun with like-minded people. In the meantime I still have to work to support the habit - so now I have only short intervals of 4-6 weeks to sail. I have traveled extensively, can get along well and can adapt to anything: different cultures, physical hardships, adversity - even in some cases, mediocre cooking by captains :).Of course I can cook boat cuisine and will keep boat ship shape, will share all boat duties including getting nails dirty. I can speak a few languages -Spanish for one will come in handy in many ports of call. My sailing experience is basically week end/day sailing around where I live Chesapeake Bay and Long Island Sound + cruising Thailand, Croatia, Whitsundays + crossing Key West to Isla Mujeres Mexico - not a whole whole lot but enough for me to know that I'm in my element while at sea. I can pay my own way - non smoker - light drinker - fun loving - low maintenance but will ask a lot of questions...
My motivation and reasons to crew on a boat
Enjoy the sense and lifestyle of freedom of traveling by the sea
In addition, as an avid scuba diver, snorkeling and diving are pluses
