Dear Shipmates

Introduction

I am qualified as Ocean Yachtmaster (commercially endorsed), AEC1+2, and I have skippered boats up to 24m for the last almost 20 years. Last year I was skippering Witness (ex-Pelagic Australis).

Although captain is my main role, I have lately been leaning a lot towards maintenance and systems upgrades, preparing yachts for polar navigation. Mechanics, electricity, electronics, hydraulics... I like to understand, maintain and improve systems.

I studied and worked in the area of First Aid, Aquatic Rescue and Ambulance Assistance, but my main formation is on Biology (degree on Biology at University of Barcelona, with a year in Portugal focusing on Marine Sciences).

I like hiking, freediving, outdoor sports in general and to learn languages.
