dear shipmates,
here you can find some info about me.
i was born 58 years ago in naples (italy).
during my youth i studied a lot and played a lot of sport (swimming, basket, volley, windsurf).
i lived in many cities around europe, enjoying different people, life styles, communities and jobs.
I’m graduated in electronic engineer, often working as freelance.
about my nature: polite, correct, tidy, humble and available.
i don’t drink alcohols, no smoke, i play sport. i'm vegetarian and i'm able to cook.
my english is fluent.
about my sailing experience:
- i have no limit licence sailing/engine (expired licence);
- participated to some regattas;
- many holidays sailing in mediterranean sea (sicily, eolie, ventotene, liguria, sardegna, corsica, elba) both as a crew member and as skipper;
- most significant experiences:
2023 may: on board of a ketch (38 feet steel hull) from ghizo (solomon island) to kosrae (FSM - micronesia). we did it in 34 days. it was a non-stop sailing with a crew of two people (me and the shipowner - and he was a real sailor). no electronic instruments to navigation (only a GPS connected to a FORUNO for mapping of the geographical sector, no autopilot, no windex, no meteo forecast), no winches.
2019 july and august: two months spent on a 57 feet sailing boat as second in a two people crew (me and the shipowner), around sardegna (mostly the NW side) and back to malta in a no-stop, 4 days navigation.
i wouldn't define myself as an expert sailor.
anyway i had the opportunity to do many experiences and some quite meaningful.
what i most appreciate on a boat is caring about safety while building good relations with the captain and the crew.
i do not like people screaming, yelling or not able to be polite and kind in any occasion.
i like essential life, i do not need a lot to feel comfortable but mutual respect and kindness.
