After 20 years recreational sailing (bareboat charters and deliveries), sold business in 2019 for prospect of completing 5 yr circumnavigation and joined vessel in Barcelona. Due to Covid pandemic, owner lost boat to foreclosure and circumnavigation was abruptly aborted. Moved to Palma de Mallorca mid 2020, spent next year attaining commercial yachting certifications. Now hold commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Ocean for Sail & Power and several OOW modules. Ambition to complete circumnavigation remains strong.

Have accumulated more than 60,000 nautical miles with experience on both sides of N America, Central America, Caribbean, Bahamas, UK, W&N Europe, N Sea, the Med, and NW Africa. Have crossed the Atlantic several times in both directions, also Panama and Pacific crossings. Perform well in heavy weather and not prone to sea-sickness. Enjoy celestial navigation and travel with my own sextant.

Enjoy cooking and my culinary skills are welcome in most galleys. Love SCUBA diving, hold PADI Rescue Diver certificate, and Divemaster certification nearly complete. Avid golfer, enjoy hiking, Alpine and Nordic skiing. Maintain routine fitness program, a healthy diet, and am very fit. Drug free, light alcohol use, no tattoos or piercings.
